One person died Thursday morning, Nov. 19, after a car hit a tree in Westminster, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was at about 7:15 a.m. near Beach Boulevard and McFadden Avenue.
It was immediately unknown if the person who died was a man or woman. Firefighters had to extract the person from the car and declared the death at the scene, according to the CHP.
It was immediately unclear what led the vehicle to hit the tree.
